Projects
Relleno Sanitario Vermont
Vermont is a large-scale environmental infrastructure project developed in the province of La Altagracia, Dominican Republic, for the management, recovery, and controlled final disposal of municipal solid waste.

CODOMEC & GLOBAL ASSOCIATE
The project involved extensive construction and earthwork activities, including site preparation, grading, and land development required for the sanitary landfill and the various areas comprising the complex. One of its main components is a sanitary landfill with an approximate capacity of 1,689,020 m³, developed on land previously impacted by mining operations. Its construction made it possible to transform and rehabilitate the site, establishing infrastructure designed in accordance with modern engineering and environmental protection standards. The landfill incorporates a 2 mm-thick geomembrane liner, drainage systems for leachate management and control, and gas vents for capturing the gases generated by waste decomposition. The complex also includes a resource recovery plant designed to sort and recover reusable materials before the final disposal of non-recoverable waste. The development of infrastructure of this nature required significant site preparation and land transformation, as well as the coordination of civil works with the various technical and environmental systems that form part of the complex.
